A K Hamilton Jenkin, in Mines & Miners of Cornwall, vol XVI, refers to a
Mr Weston, "an official of the Mines Royal", when quoting from William
Carnsewe's Memoranda on Mines of about 1580, but very much in passing.
Neither Dudley nor Patteren get a mention.
That's a fairly empty response, I am afraid, but at least it is a
response.
