You will note I referred to 'non-ferrous metal mining' in my comments.
The social aspects of coal mining are well covered in most mediums,
certainly in music and the visual arts, but non-ferrous mining, e.g. tin,
lead etc., that is not so. We have had some discussion a couple of years
ago on the role of traditional song. My idea for NAMHO2000 was for a
performance of something from the Cornish arts revival. We could then
consider if that reflected the mining tradition or was just using mining the
further the Cornish identity.
