A wonderful idea Peter. May I suggest "Men of the Deeps Music" North
America's only Coal Miner' Chorus. 3202 MacLeod Ave., New Waterfor, Nova
Scotia B1H 1J7. I think you will be impressed with about 50 very masculine
voices singing songs from 150 years of mining. Songs like Thirty-Inch Coal,
Dark as a Dungeon, Coal Tattoo, Sixteen Tons, I Went to Morman's, Man with a
Torch In his Cap, Coal is King Again, Working Man, Coal by the SEa, Mary Ann,
Are you from Bevan?, Dust in the Air, Plain Ole Miner Boy, No. 26 Mine
Disaster, Farewell to the Rhonda and Rise Again.
I could also line up a couple of group of American Poets.
