Re. Mason's message to list on ghost towns in California and Nevada. Some
members will need an explanation.
The (North American) Mining History Association holds its annual conference
in Nevada this coming June. I've not yet been to one of these bashes but
they come well recommended. But to the point of the message. Our American
colleagues have a ritual of discussing their travel arrangements, and the
points of mining interest to be found enroute, on list. Not something I
would wish to encourage on mining-history. If anyone wishes to pick up the
thread of this discussion, go to the MiningHistory list at
http://www.onelist.com
