For those who may be interrested:
This week's Mining Journal devotes a column to the forthcoming
(August 30 to September 7) conference in London organised by
The International Committee for the Conservation of Industrial
Heritage (TICCIH 2000). The conference will "explore the changing
attitudes to industrial heritage and the latest thinking on how best to
record, conserve and re-use the legacy of industrial buildings."
Further information about TICCIH 2000 can be obtained from
Suzanne Bode at English Heritage, e-mail address:

The same page also gives half a column to NAMHO and its
"Guidelines for the Leisure Use of Mines".
