Not familiar with this example but a similar effect is/was (?) visible
in a Forestry Commission plantation in Suffolk. The letters G R are
marked out by trackways and tree planting at TM 8120 7387 (OS
ref.) presumably for George Rex, not sure which, most likely
George V. Not sure if its still there as the area has been felled and
replanted recently.
