Announcement for NMAHP
NMAHP - The UK's Gateway to High Quality Internet Resources for Nurses, Midwives & Allied Health Professions
Have you ever looked on the Internet for information related to your practice in Nursing, Midwifery or Allied Health professions and wished that someone had sorted out the good quality resources and made them available all in one place?
If so you will be pleased to hear that a free new service, called NMAHP (Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions), will be launched in Spring 2001 to provide you with an easily accessible collection of high quality resources in the field. The service, being led by partners from the Universities of Nottingham and Sheffield and the Royal College of Nursing, will evaluate web sites and other Internet resources against published criteria.
You will be able to see a short description of good quality resources in your area of interest, with descriptions of what they have available, before you click on a link to look at them.
The Project is being funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and will be an integral component of OMNI (Organising Medical Networked Information), http://omni.ac.uk/ which is now part of BIOME - the Resource Discovery Network's health and life sciences Internet service.
If you would like further information or to be involved in the establishment of NMAHP please contact Rod Ward on [log in to unmask]
