As a new subscriber to mailbase, the news about a centenary celebration
sounds a wonderful idea and is much needed.I would like to be involved in
any related activities
and I know of other teachers who feel the same about getting back to basics
in midwifery education, research and practice .

develop a strategic approach to re-discovering normality in midwifery
practice - all very low key at present, but I hope it will lead to some big
event in 2002 (the centenary of the midwives act) - Ill keep you informed!
