I am not sure who Rayner Garner is and in which world she moves, but most of
the grant holders on this EU funded study earn less that the mean salary of
the £22,579-£34,634. As a lecturer in Sociology at a British university
with some ten years of research experience and a considerable number of
publications I earn about £26,500 p/a before tax.
