Dear Colleagues,
Ike de Loos replied in double-quick time to my request concerning 'Nolo mortem
peccatoris': and I give part of the reply here in case any of you are still puzzling
over it or are about to give me the same answer.
Of course, if any of you have _another_ answer ...
All good wishes,
Richard
=====================
the text you are looking for is part of the antiphon _Vivo ego dicit
dominus: nolo mortem peccatoris, sed ut magis convertatur et vivat_, sung
in Lent. It is in many of the modern liturgical books.
I think it is based on Ezekiel 33:11:
dic ad eos vivo ego dicit dominus deus nolo mortem impii
sed ut revertatur impius a via sua et vivat convertimini a viis
vestris pessimis et quare moriemini domus israhel
Yours sincerely,
Ike de Loos
