The Medieval & Renaissance Music Conference 2000 is pleased to announce
details of its Music Festival featuring performances by leading Early
Music specialists Chapelle du Rois (Alistair Dixon, dir.), A Capella
Portuguesa (Owen Rees, dir.) and Byzantine cantor Ioannis Arvanitis, a
member of the Ensemble

Admission to Music Festival events is free to registered participants of
the Med-Ren conference. Held in co-operation with the University of
Oxford's Faculty of Music, the conference will include two concerts, as
well as approximately 55 scholarly papers on topics ranging from Thomas
Morley to
Byzantine and Slavonic chant. Booking forms are still available on the
conference website. Enquiries regarding participation in all or part of
the conference are welcome.
