Dear Colleagues,
The usual apologies for cross-posting: and I should appreciate help if anyone can
give it.
I have come across the phrase 'Nolo mortem peccatoris' in an early English play and
can't find the source. I suppose it comes ultimately from the liturgical exhortation
to confession, but I don't know of this wording as a liturgical text. I have tried
to track it down through the Morley motet, but without success. If anyone can give
me a reference I shall be very grateful.
All good wishes,
Richard
