With apologies for cross-posting
Check out our new re-designed, re-organised,
website.
‘I like the new style mda website. Much
easier to navigate and much more clearly laid
out” says Tim Pettigrew, Tyne and Wear
Museums.
The site conforms to national and international standards,
allowing users with a wide range of software and hardware
access to the site.
Notable developments include a new home page which is
designed to give new users a sense of what mda does whilst at
the same time providing routes to different levels of information
for regular users. There are links to: SPECTRUM, the 24 Hour
Museum, a new magazine and the National Grid for Learning.
The magazine has the latest news about mda as well as events in
the wider sector. We welcome contributions to this. Another
important feature of the site is a demonstration for an interactive
online advicepoint service.
The structure of the new site, which was previewed at the
Clicks and Mortar Conference in Newcastle, is based around
newly named sections: advicepoint, about us, resources, archive,
magazine and directory. The directory is currently under
development and will soon be a guide to the full contents of the
site.
Significantly, the new site will include new content consistent
with our developing role in the cultural sector. Via our web site
we will present our activities to a wider public, expand our range
of services and enhance the overall user experience.
