Wendy,
BT's pricing plans are so complex that, unless you have a very simple
calling pattern, no-one but you can really tell which tariff is going
to be better for you. I *never* buy services from a BT sales droid
until I have worked it all out myself - not an easy task I admit.
The full details of all of BTs tariffs are on their web site at
http://www.bt.com/ but you have to really hunt for them! I then use
Magenta systems tariff comparisons charts (http://www.magsys.co.uk/)
together with their DUN Manager software (for calculating and
recalculating the costs of my Internet calls).
I found that I was better off staying with Premier Line, F&F and Best
Friends rather than switch to BT Together, which annoyed the BT sales
bod who contacted me the other night.

Premier Line has not been withdrawn from existing customers but is no
longer available to new customers. So if you have ditched PL but now
find that you are worse off, you cannot go back to PL :-((
> When BT sold me Together instead of Premier Line last week, they
> didn't tell me that Country Plans are not allowed in Together.
If one was being totally cynical about this, one would say that of
course they didn't tell you. They are on commission so are desperate
to sell you a new service - *any* new service.
On the other hand the detail of these tariffs is so complex that the
sales people would have to undergo at least a weeks intensive
training in order to know the tariffs inside out.
> I assume that my 132/Cable and Wireless facility will still work?
Yes, it will.
