Michigan State University's Tourism Educational Materials database is
indeed an excellent resource--here are some of the titles of articles
that I have obtained from this source:
Agricultural Tourism in Cochise County, Arizona: Characteristics and
Economic Impacts (31 pages)
Agritourism: Points to Consider
Can a farmer Make Money with an Outdoor Recreation Sideline?
Atmosphere in the Restaurant (31 pages--great article)
Cost Benefit Analysis of Local Tourism Development
Community Travel and Tourism Marketing (17 pages)
Creating Travel Brochures that Sell
Establishing the Ambience in a Bed and Breakfast or Farm Vacation Home
Direct Marketing Ag Products to Tourists (15 pages)
Business Management and Marketing: Bed & Breakfast (35 pages)
Community Development Strategies for Tourism: An Assessment Tool
Beginning a Bed and Breakfast in South Carolina: Guidelines for
Development (38 pages)
Alternative Enterprises for Farm and Forest: Risk Recreation (17 pages)
The contents of these articles can be adjusted to apply to any area or
country--never mind if it says South Carolina, or Minneapolis, or
wherever. I think MSU selected these articles for their tourism database
because of their value in being able to be applied anywhere.
No doubt there are other treasures to be mined from this source....I'm
still working on it.
