Sorry, I sent this out without my email address on.
It's been interesting reading the article on the Informationist and the
comments by librarians in response to it. I would like to raise a related
issue - that of knowledge management. Inform, from IFHM, this month had
some interesting articles on this, though not reporting in detail about how
such a role has been performed by staff in Acute Trusts. The possibility of
appointing someone with a knowledge management role was raised at a meeting
I was at yesterday, so I wondered if other Trusts had such people on their
staff. Are they librarians or what? What grades have they been appointed
on? To whom are they responsible? What are their roles? If anyone can
provide me with any information or job descriptions I would be most
grateful.
Thanks.
