Discover how to deal effectively with the poor performer in:

Positive approaches to negative performance
A one day Library Association workshop on 14 November, London

Dealing with negative performance presents a challenge to any manager. There
are a wide range of situations you may have to deal with - from spending
time coaching an individual who is under achieving through to dealing with
challenging or subversive behaviour and possibly dismissal.

Poor performance can have a detrimental affect on the morale and motivation
of other staff and can, if not checked, damage relationships with customers.
It costs money and creates anguish for everyone.

How will this event help you?

It will help you deal with the 'poor performer' and develop your
understanding of how to turn poor performance around, create a more
acceptable situation and will help you deal with more extreme cases. You
will also develop an individual action plan to take back to your
organisation.

This practical and supportive day will focus on:

*	setting and implementing clear standards of performance

*	strategies and sanctions for improvement

*	acting effectively - different techniques to deal with difficult
behaviour

*	managing disciplinary action and the Law

Who will benefit from attending?
