Advice, please.
A health visitor responsible keeping up to date with research has come to ask for a "report". She has read in an article (we don't have a copy) that the government has given advice to health professionals based on the findings of COMA (Sept 99) that "the use of soya-based formulas should be discouraged through professsional and parental education" because phytoestrogens in soya formula can cause earlier development of sexual maturity and thyroid troubles.
Is anyone able to establish the answer and step us through how they got there?
A colleague's initial try using the DoH web site/page using an advanced search that should have contained in the body soya and baby and milk resulted in 7 references on the British Monarchy!
Thanks in anticipation
