use the reference resources (and don't use the staff). If they want more, they
can pay to join, but it would be difficult to draw the line. We'd rather not be
advertised so widely.

Perhaps you should look at patient information services rather than NHS
Healthcare Libraries: Maidstone Hospital has a Trust Information Centre for the
public.....if they can't deal with the queries, they contact us, but this rarely
happens. [...]45_09Feb200009:11:[log in to unmask] 9152 72 41_RE: NELH: Find your local medical [log in to unmask] Feb 2000 12:35:22 +0000338_iso-8859-1 I think this is an important area to develop. There has been progress in a number of other non-healthcare fields and the technology is coming on apace.
I hope soon that we will be able to put in a postcode or town name and be provided with lists of a whole range of healthcare services within user definable distances. One of my users is doing a dissertation on the effects of shift work on nurses. She has searched Medline and Cinahl but is looking for additional research and/or literature.
Does anyone know of any relevant internet sites or relevant publications?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Midgely (NELH, coronary heart disease project) to develop a "Find your
local medical library" facility for the NELH. You can see the progress
we have made to date at http://library.bma.org.uk/html/libfind.html

If anyone knows of any other regional library maps/lists to which we
could link please do let me know. Any other comments or suggestions are
also most welcome. Something we are planning for the near future is a
"breadcrumb trail" to help navigate from the national map to regional
and local maps/lists and back again. [...]46_5Feb200021:34:[log in to unmask] 7897 51 17_Gung Hei Fat Choy13_Jim [log in to unmask], 06 Feb 2000 14:10:15 -0800494_iso-8859-1 Do you lack fire in your work?
