Rochdale had problems with sudden route changing on NHSNet. After years of
pointing directly at www.hotmail.com, it suddenly stopped accepting the
direct address. We could not access Hotmail via this www address or via
msn.co.uk, but only via msn.com
We had to resort to altering the target address to that of one the Hotmail
file servers.
Our IT traced the problem to NHSNet but could not explain why the rerouting
fault occurred.
