Aims: To review practical advances in finding, capturing, processing,
distributing and using knowledge for the benefit of clinicians and patients. To
bring together professionals from the clinical, library, computer, cognitive and
information sciences, medical informatics and information retrieval disciplines
to share techniques and insights. To introduce newcomers and survey the
state-of-the-art in knowledge management applied to health
