With OCLC WebExpress you can easily integrate access to resources that 
you currently provide through disparate interfaces into a single information

gateway so that your users can search resources simultaneously and 
quickly find the information they need.  For example, your users could

both your local catalogue and several remote online databases at the same
time.

The key to the integration provided by OCLC WebExpress is the Z39.50
standard 
information retrieval protocol.  However, WebExpress provides  "manual free"

access to Z39.50 compliant resources by allowing non-technical staff to
simply 
pick from a list of database and server configurations already tested by
OCLC.  
Within just a few hours, you can easily connect to all your Z39.50
electronic resources.  
WebExpress also keeps you up-to-date by automatically receiving resource 
configuration upgrades from the central OCLC WebExpress Service Centre.  

If there is a Z39.50 resource which you would like to access which we do not

currently offer, simply let us know and we will do to the necessary
configuration 
and testing before adding it to our list.

The OCLC WebExpress software itself is easy to use.  A series of simple
wizards 
will guide you through the installation and customisation of your integrated
gateway.  
With your library name placed prominently on each page of the user
interface, 
WebExpress helps you reinforce your position as the key information provider

for your user community.
