Hello all,
Apologies for cross-posting.
At Teesside we have been using a velobind machine for the binding of
pamphlet type materials in order to prolong their shelf life. This
has involved a plastic strip which binds the pages together.
However, we are in the process of purchasing a replacement machine
(due to the demise of our velobinder) and wondered what the
experiences had been at other HE institutions. We had purchased a
newer machine identical to the original velobind, but this proved not
to be very robust. Having consulted a range of supplier
catalogues, it seems that most binding machines available are comb
binders or thermal binders. We have no experience of this type of
machine and would welcome any feedback from the list please, before
we purchase!
Please feedback to me personally, rather than the list.
I will summarise for the list in the usual way.
Thanks
Jackie
