Information Assistant
Graduate Trainee - One year post (start September 2001)

This level of excellence requires up to the minute resources, and we need an
ambitious individual to ensure the smooth delivery of this essential information
service.
Our Library facility provides a consolidated function, including information
acquisition, document delivery, reference services and facilities management.
You'll participate in project support and evaluation activities for various
projects including transition from physical information holdings to electronic
information access and delivery.
Currently studying information science, computer science or a business
information course which includes a sandwich year placement, OR looking for
pre-library school experience, you'll have a great interest in promoting
information services. Good computer skills are essential, including experience
of spreadsheets, internet and other office products.
In return, you'll receive appropriate training and support as your role
develops.
