Senior Library Assistant (CRA3)

Would you like to join the staff of a busy and innovative research led
Library?
A vacancy exists to join the team providing information and enquiry
services. This will include the use of electronic information resources;
assisting with the delivery of academic services; some collection
development and maintenance routines; and training staff and users.
We are looking for an individual who is IT literate, has excellent
interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work on their own
initiative within established guidelines. A qualification and/or
experience in librarianship/information studies would be advantageous.
Starting salary in the range £14,174 - £16,072 (incl. L.A.)

Project Cataloguer (CRA3)
We are seeking a Project Cataloguer experienced in UKMARC, AACR2 and LCSH
to work mainly on RSLP funded projects, Music Scores and/or 19th Century
Pamphlets. Previous Music experience of particular interest.
This is a fixed-term superannuable appointment until July 2002; salary in
the range £14,174 - £16,072 including London Allowance. Reference BE41
Palaeography Project Assistant (CRA4)
The RSLP funded Palaeography Project [web page:www.palaeography.ac.uk]
seeks an assistant to work on subject enhancement of computer catalogue
records. Experience of on-line cataloguing, MARC, AACR2 and Library of
Congress Subject Headings essential. Some knowledge of Western Manuscript
Studies, and a language other than English [e.g. French/German/Latin] also
required.
This is a full time superannuable fixed-term 6-month position. A part-time
appointment over a longer period would be considered. Salary in the range
£16,072-£18,268 pro rata, including London Allowance. Reference PPA11

Electronic Library Project Officer
Salary £18,909 - £27,347 (incl. London Weighting)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic
library or information professional to provide project based support for
the administration and development of electronic collections and facilities
for the growing research and distance learning communities served by the
University of London Library.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of working with
electronic resources, possess excellent organisational and CIT skills and
be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
The postholder will be a member of the Library's Information Resources
Group and will contribute to a range of Library developments in electronic
information resources provision and web-based services.
The appointment to this superannuable post will be made for an initial
period until 31 July 2003.
