Hi,
Is anyone using the Abridged Dewey Decimal Classification scheme?, and
if so could you give me some feedback on how useful it is. I work for a
charity working in the education field and want to start using a proper
classification system for our relatively small library. Obviously I only
need to classify books on education, but I need something which can cope
with the range of subjects in the area- eg special educational needs
including EBD, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, disability, etc;
exclusion; truancy; bullying; admissions; school management; curriculum;
standards; training, etc etc. Can anyone tell me if Abridged Dewey can
cope with this and what your experiences of it have been or if you think
there is anything more appropriate.

Thanks very much for your help.
