Some of the Liaison Librarians here at the University of Birmingham
are in the process of applying for membership of the ILT (Institute
for Learning and Teaching). Other staff groups (e.g. IT Advisors and
Trainers) are also planning to apply.
Data from the ILT on the number/success of applications from the LIS
sector isn't available yet, but here at Birmingham we think that
such data would be useful.
If your unit has considered ILT membership, or has actually submitted
applications, would you please help with the following questions:
a) Which staff groups in your Library/Information Service have
applied/are planning to apply for membership?
b) How many of the applications have been successful?
Please mail me directly and I'll post a summary of the responses to
the list.
Many thanks,
Brigit
