Information World Review (IWR) is looking for a reviewer for the following:
1. The Outsourcing R&D Toolkit by Peter Sammons (Gower, A4 Looseleaf, 2000; 256
pages)
'R&D is a key factor of production in the global business environment, yet
research budgets are under attack as never before. International competitive
pressure means that companies and countries must innovate or die even tho
funding is often decreasing. The answer is to ensure better value for money and
this toolkit will guide you towards that goal.' Or so says the publisher's
blurb.
2. The Virtual University: The Internet and Resource-Based Learning by Steve
Ryan, Bernard Scott, Howard Freeman and Daxa Patel (Kogan Page, 2000; c. 200 pp)
3. Publishing of the Parliaments and Assemblies of the British Isles:
Proceedings of a one day SCOOP seminar at the Library Association on Monday 22
November 1999 (Scoop, 2000)
4. The Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database (book and web version) edited by
Jeff M. Jellin (Therapeutic research Centre, Stockton, California, 2000; 1210
pp)
There is, sadly, no payment for the review, but you get to keep the book.
Reviews should be c. 800 words long and the deadline is negotiable. Full
instructions will be sent to individuals selected.
Please respond to me at [log in to unmask], stating why you are interested
in reviewing this title.
Many thanks
Helen
