~~ APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING ~~
The HERON project is just completing its first pilot year and now has space
for additional members from the UK HE community.*
The HERON Project was established to support and smooth the pathway towards
the greater use of C&IT in learning and teaching within the UK HE sector
and improve access to library materials. It does this by offering a
seamless access to copyright clearance and digitisation of key teaching
materials. In this way, HERON removes two of the most complex and time
consuming aspects of the provision of digitised learning materials thus
freeing up library / learning support and academic staff to pursue more
essential aspects of their work
For more information on the HERON Service, please look at the HERON web
pages - which have recently been considerably extended - at their new URL:

to the FE sector.
and would be pleased to establish contact with anyone in FE who is
interested in the HERON service.
