In the volume for 1910/1, the professional journal _Library
World_ introduced a new column called M900 + X050. It seems
to have replaced the earlier column 'Libraries and Librarians'
and was itself in the following volume by the column 'Notes
and News'. I think the general chatty/newsy nature of the column
is clear from the earlier and later headings. HOWEVER what I would
like to know is: what is the significance of M900 + X050? Does
it translate into something (more) meaningful according to some
long lost classification scheme? What point am I missing here?
I would be very grateful for any thoughts that list members might
have on this tricky problem!
