I was not clear on the following, albeit dealing with Backup requests
but have clarified with DSC today and pass it on in case of interest.
If anyone accidently uses the old 'Y' search when sending a request to
DSC, it will be interpreted there as 'SBL' which means that, even if
there are other locations, DSC will look to send the request to a Backup
library. This only happened for serials under the 'old system'; under
the 'new system' it now happens for monographs too.
Personally, I think of the old 'Y' really equating with the new 'SL'
whereby, if there are non-Backup library locations, BLDSC will give
these to be approached first (with the later option of application to
Backups if needed, of course).
