I am really struggling to get this working - I wanted to put it onto the
new button you can implement in WebPAC to switch from home search to
chosen Z39.50 search.
However, I cannot get the set-up to work and wondered if anyone else has
this - I guess they do.
I have things set up as follows:
SERVER SETTINGS
1 > Internal code for server: CURL
2 > Display name for server: CURL
3 > IP address of server: z3950.copac.ac.uk
4 > Port: 2100
5 > Authentication/Password:
6 > Character Set:
7 > Enable SCAN Facility? NO
Also tried line 3 set up as 130.88.203.130
DATABASE SETTINGS
1 > Code for database: COPAC
2 > Display name for database: COPAC
3 > Type of query: 1
4 > Data Format: OBJECT ID- 1.2.840.10003.5.105
5 > Type Of Updating NONE
6 > G > REQUEST ITEM ALLOWED? (Y/N): NO
I also tried line 4 as 1,2,840,10003.5.101 for SUTRS
SAMPLE SEARCH SETTING
CHANGE SEARCH ATTRIBUTES FOR 'NAME(a)' SEARCH:
1 > Use Field 1004 Author, personal
2 > Relation 3 Equal
3 > Position 3 Any position in field
4 > Structure 1 Phrase
5 > Truncate 100 No truncation
6 > Completeness 1 Incomplete subfield
All I can get is:
"A problem occurred while processing your Z39 request.
z3950"
Any tips or advice would be very welcome. The basic Z39.50 server is
working (on and off!) so the problem does not lie there.
