Dear all,
The Career Development Group (North and South Thames)
warmly welcomes colleagues to attend the Autumn/Winter 2000
series of Management seminars.
There is still time to book on the first seminar in the
series:
** Customer Care with Lesley Noblett - 12th October **
We live in a complex world where people have high
expectations of the goods and services they receive, and
where there is always competition for their time, their
custom or their money. Library and Information Services are
by no means immune from this environment, and, if they are
to survive, they have to find ways to retain their existing
customers and gain new ones. This session aims to give an
introduction to Customer Care in a Library and Information
environment.
It will cover:-
- the importance of customer care
- who are the customers
- internal customers
- customer friendly systems
- customer centred staff
There are also currently places available on the other
seminars in the series, so book now to avoid disappointment!
** Mastering Presentation Skills with Antony Brewerton -
2nd November **
** CPD: Build your own rainbow with Liz Jolly and Anna
Atkinson - December ** (date to be confirmed shortly)
VENUE: All seminars will be held between 6-8pm at the
Engineering Employers' Federation (EEF), Broadway House,
Tothill Street, London. Nearest tube station: St James's
Park (Broadway exit). Map available on request. Access
