Dear Colleagues,
The Career Development Group (North and South Thames Division) and Career
Development Group Student Committee would like to invite you to:
"The road ahead:
your career as an information professional"
VENUE
10.30am - 4.00pm
15th April
Ramsay Hall, University College London
?10.00 incl.VAT
So you've decided that you want a career as an information professional.
We are important people these days, at the heart of the information
revolution and information society, possessing the skills to guide
individuals and organisations in their search for knowledge.
You are no longer limited to looking for jobs as a librarian. In this
information age you can become a webmanager or a knowledge manager.
As more roads open up to you there are more decisions and choices to be
made. It is hoped that this event will provide you with an insight into
some of the job opportunities open to you and how best to sell yourself and
your skills to potential employers whilst continuing to keep ahead of the
game.
The majority of speakers are recent LIS graduates and they will focus not
only on the posts they hold but on their personal experiences and the
challenges they have faced so far, in their careers as information
professionals
