INFORMATION OFFICER
Based Brentwood, Essex

An interesting opportunity has arisen to join the busy information services team at South Essex Health Authority.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to play a key role in the provision of library/information services to NHS and health-related staff in South Essex. You will assist the librarian in all aspects of the information service, deputise when required and will have the opportunity to become centrally involved in the development and maintenance of the health authority's corporate intranet. In addition you will have the chance to contribute to a number of local health information and research projects.

You must be a qualified library/information professional with skills in using electronic information resources. A strong interest in web technology is essential and an understanding of the health care field would be an advantage. You should also possess excellent organizational and administrative skills and an ability to prioritize work. A willingness to work flexibly as part of a team is essential.

The post is based in the modern health authority head office in Brentwood which has excellent road and rail links to London as well as easy access to the major radial routes serving the county. A system of flexitime is in operation.

Starting Salary is L15,385 rising by annual increments to L18,463.
