Although this seems a long way off - you may wish to start planning now if
you hope to offer a presentation at this annual conference ('Europe's
largest, most comprehensive health informatics event' - their words
admittedly !)
Last year several librarians were shortlisted and received awards, gave
presentations and attended the conference.
It was a good event - and Harrogate in the Spring is a great place to be !
The conference has plenary and themed sessions. Previous years has seen
the conference rather dominated by IT managers and this is a good
opportunity to continue breaking down divides between information
professionals by demonstrating how library services fit in with LIS
strategies, evidence based healthcare and innovative ICT applications. The
NHS Executive and NHS Information Authority will be exhibiting and
participating in the conference.
For details of how to submit a proposal for a paper or satellite session
contact the secretariat

exhibition details are at

You can email [log in to unmask] (I have already spoken to her
and she is very helpful )
