>Two staff are required to join an exciting project to develop Library and
Information services in the Trent Region. Both posts are initially on fixed
term contracts until 31 March 2003 and will report to the Head of the
Regional Library Unit who is part of the Information for Health Regional
Team. As well as specific responsibilities, outlined below, you will have a
geographic responsibility for Library and Information development,
co-ordination, monitoring and accreditation as part of the Regional team.

>You will develop strategy and implement policy to meet the national
framework and agenda for delivery of Library and Information services
through new technical means. You will advise on all library aspects of
information management and technology (IM&T) including software databases,
networking, Internet connections and the roll out of the National Electronic
Library for Health. You will also be responsible for region wide purchasing
agreements for full text journals, databases and other systems.

>We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the Health
Informatics agenda and a background in Healthcare Libraries would be an
advantage. Ideally you will be a Chartered Librarian or have a relevant
professional qualification in Library or Information Management with a
thorough knowledge of Library IT systems and experience of staff and budget
management.

development units so that standards can be maintained and developed.

>We are looking for someone with experience of Healthcare Library and
Information provision or other Health Informatics experience, together with
some experience of training. Ideally you will be a graduate or Chartered
Librarian and have a background or knowledge of research projects.
