hi!
I wonder whether somebody knows of any precedent in the past in which a
state paid its own citizens compensation after a change in this state's
border. I refer to a situation where, for example, as a result of a
withdrawal of this state's troops the hostile border which was once far away
from a certain town is now a few kilometers away. The quality of life of the
people of this town is seriously damaged and so is the value of the
property. Do they have a right to ask compensation from their own country?
Did it ever happen before?
thanks,
Eyal Diskin
