SPECIAL ISSUE ON THE ECONOMICS OF EDUCATION.
The Bulletin of Economic Research will publish a special issue devoted
to the economics of education, interpreted broadly. Theoretical, applied
and policy oriented papers will be considered. Potential topics include,
but are not limited to, efficiency and equity considerations in the
provision of education, school choice policies and competition between
providers, international comparisons, estimates of the returns to
education, school production functions, standards, league tables, and
the role of education on economic growth.
Editors for the special issue will be

Richard E Romano (University of Florida).
Deadline for submission is the 31 October 2000. Papers must be submitted
in triplicate to the Bulletin Office (Department of Economics,
University of York, Heslington, York, YO10 5DD, UK), and will be subject
to the same refereeing process as other submissions to the Bulletin.
