PhD SCHOLARSHIP IN ECONOMICS
'Technology Sourcing and Foreign Direct Investment'
Applications are invited for the above 3-year scholarship under the
supervision of Professor Jim Love. The research will examine the
extent to which technology sourcing is a motive for FDI between
EU countries and the United States, and will attempt to estimate
the differential spillover effects related to such investment.
Applicants should have a good first degree (or Masters) in
Economics, and have a knowledge of the theory of FDI. Some
knowledge of panel data econometrics is also required.
The scholarship will include home (EU) fees and a maintenance
allowance for three years. There may be an opportunity to carry out
a limited amount of teaching.
