CALL FOR PAPERS
for the
13. Deutscher Hispanistentag (Congress of the German Hispanic
Society)
Leipzig, March 8-11, 2001
section "MUSIC HISTORY OF SPAIN",
directed by the study group "Spain and Latin America" within the
German Musicological Society (Gesellschaft für Musikforschung).
The subject of this conference will be the fundamentals and outlines
of Spain's music history, especially questions about its beginnings,
its epochs and its relationship to other European countries such as
Portugal, Italy, France and Germany/Austria. This includes aspects of
political and social history as well as ideas such as humanism,
enlightenment etc.
The conference is intended as a step towards a new History of Music
in Spain which is the main project of the study group "Spain and
Latin America".
Proposals for papers should be sent with a short abstract to:
