2ND ANNUAL NATIONAL SKILLS CONFERENCE
WEDNESDAY 11TH - THURSDAY 12TH JULY, 2001
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE,HATFIELD,HERTS.
Organised by the Hertfordshire Integrated Learning Project (HILP),
University of Hertfordshire
in association with
the Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN)
Following our successful National Skills Conference, 'Integrating
Graduate Skills Development in the Curriculum' held in March 2000, we
are proposing to hold a second conference entitled
IMPLEMENTING SKILLS DEVELOPMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION : REVIEWING THE
TERRITORY
This conference aims to focus discussion on how to implement skills
development within the distinct territories of different disciplines,
whilst at the same time meeting the requirements of institutional
learning and teaching strategies and the new QAA quality framework,
including academic review.
Contributions ranging from local examples of good practice to more
global critiques of policy and quality frameworks will be welcome from
academics, researchers, project workers and policy makers.
A formal call for presentations will go out in January 2001 but even at
this early stage if you would like to register your interest in either
contributing and/or attending please contact the HILP administrator
