Dear all,
In paragraph 36, it states that "We propose that all institutions
should adopt staff development strategies so that the issues
identified in this report, and human resources questions more
generally, are addressed systematically."
I hope that ILT will, in the light of any development of the research
side of staff development, REDUCE the level of work for new members
of staff.
Some new members of staff have indicated that the basic requirement
for ILT portifolio is taking a lot of their time on top of getting
used to a new environment and in some case prevent them from sparing
enough time on research. If HEFCE decides that there is staff
development requirement on research also, the combined load may be
too high for the new members of staff.
Thank you for your attention.
regards,
Andrew
