HEFCE is funding the Resource Discovery Network (part of DNER) see
http://www.rdn.ac.uk.
Part of this is the virtual training suite which attempts to helps
learners with electronic databases and the internet - see:
http://www.vts.rdn.ac.uk/ includes "Internet business manager"
You might also like to look at the BIOME evaluation criteria etc. at:
http://omni.ac.uk/about/guide.html - although they may have to be
adapted for Social and Demographic Environment, or Business and
Management. or visit SOSIG Business guide at :
http://www.sosig.ac.uk/business/ and their selection criteria at:
http://www.sosig.ac.uk/desire/ecrit.html
Hope this helps
