Encourage people to place a document on WWW rather than to send it as an
attachment: the mail to the list need then only contain a pointer to the URL
for the document. That way there's no concern about unnecessary traffic over
low bandwidth connections, no worries about filling storage space and no
security problems with opening attachments from unknown sources. Placing
documents on WWW is using the Web in the way for which it was originally
designed i.e. for sharing documents. Another advantage is that documents can
easily be kept up to date without sending the updated copy across the
network.
