Hello,
I have come here in desperation. I am a Utilities CAD Advisor and have
worked for several Contracting companies setting up, Maintaining and
improving there CAD systems. In my line of work I have touched on GIS but,
as I am in contacting, have never used it to its full potential. I believe
that this technology is the way and I want to enter the GIS market. The
problem has been my lack of experience in GIS. I have only played with
Autodesk World and Mapinfo Pro and need some good solid experience of GIS. I
am a bright, young inelegant man and have worked hard to create stable CAD
platforms for years. I have looked into the GIS market and found a lot of
work in the crossover area between CAD and GIS.
My question is........
How can a CAD Advisor enter the GIS market?? Do I need to retrain before
applying to GIS companies???
I thank you for you time and I am sorry for abusing this worthwhile
service!!
