1. Job Description - Sales Executive - Government/Public Sector
Scope
The role is primarily responsible for the selling of Dataview Solutions'
range of solutions and services to Central, Local and Public Sector clients
as well as day-to-day client account management thereafter.
Essential Skills
Good knowledge of GIS technologies and use of Spatial Information would be
ideal. Experience of one or more of the following GIS platforms is relevant
MapInfo, ESRI, Intergraph or Smallworld
General IT solutions sales experience, in particular in the Government and
Public Sector, is essential.
Sales of data driven applications (such as Oracle useful).
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Primary Responsibilities
New sales and business development to existing and new client base of
solutions and services.
Development of client base.
Qualification and/or production of suitable mailing lists for
Dataview-specific mailshots.
Attendance at relevant shows and exhibitions and presence on Dataview stand
Support for marketing department
Pre-sales support for major accounts as requested
Duties and Tasks
Develop a strong industry knowledge of Government GIS usage, with
particular emphasis on Local Government and Public Sector.
Develop a good understanding of key technologies especially related to Web.
Develop a good understanding of Government related market forces.

2. Marketing Services Manager
Scope
The role is responsible for the delivery and management of the company's
marketing and promotional activity and for the marketing budget. The role
works in close co-operation with the Business Managers and Managing
Director in terms of delivering agreed marketing and promotional actions.
Essential Skills
A strong awareness of marketing will be complemented by good customer
focus, excellent industry knowledge and the ability to deliver projects on
time and to budget. Sound communication, presentation and interpersonal
skills are fundamental, as the individual will be expected to work within a
rapidly growing team and liase regularly with the Managing Director, other
managers and clients.
Primary Responsibilities
General management of the Company's marketing services activities including
advertising, sales promotion, direct mail, trade show and product litera
ture development.
Achievement of specific campaigns and promotions as determined by the
Managing Director and the Business Managers.
The development and monitoring of the marketing operating plan.
Development, upgrade and maintenance of all company product literature and
industry specific brochures.
Management of product support activities for all business sectors served by
Dataview.
Co-ordination and control of all marketing and PR sub-contractors.
Management of those Dataview employees directly employed in marketing
services.
Tasks and Duties
Produce, manage and update annual Marketing Operating Plan.
Regularly liase with Business Managers and MD to define marketing actions
and campaigns.
Monitor and report on success of above mentioned campaigns.
Manage all company marketing campaigns.
Co-ordinate marketing input related to use of Goldmine.
Ensure all Co-op/MDF/3rd party funds fully utilised.
Manage Dataview presence at all exhibitions.
Collate and promptly distribute press releases as appropriate.
Develop marketing documentation & procedures as required.
