Each book published by the Geological Society is sent out to appropriate
journals for review. Review comments are often helpful when deciding to
purchase a book so we have added a selection of recent reviews that we have
to the bookshop. 

For example, a review recently recently received for Fossil Plants and
Spores: Modern Techniques. By T. P. Jones and N. P. Rowe. 1999. ISBN
1-86239-041-X:
'This book is an outstanding achievement. It contains a wealth of well
assembled and well documented information in just 396 pages. Most chapters
