With reference to the request for information about the conference
"International Migration into the 21st Century" - it was sponsored by the
Centre for Migration and Development Studies
(http://www.econs.ecel.uwa.edu.au/economics/cmds/cmds.htm) but
unfortunately, their web site does not include many details about the
speakers or the papers presented. However, their e-mail is
[log in to unmask] in the event that you would like to request further
information about the event.
As for the author you mentioned, I believe she works at Columbia; a brief
profile and contact info. are available at

I have a copy of a paper by Sally E. Findley 'Compelled to Move: The Rise of
Forced Migration in Sub-Saharan Africa in the 21st Century', a Paper to be
presented at the COnference on International Migration into the 21st
Century, University of Western Australia, November 29 to December 4, 1999. I
would like to be in contact with the author and to receive other papers from
that conference, particularly if published so they could be assigned in a
course I am teaching.
