Are all flint kilns post medieval?
Are they always purely for the pottery industry?

I wish to propose a new term for the Thesaurus:
Flint Kiln;
Defined as: A post medieval kiln for calcining milled flint in order that
the flint could be used as 'grog' for the pottery industry.
Presumably the broad term would have to be 'kiln'.
